Driving & Crew Directions

- Start and finish, 12 Ridges Winery. Click HERE for Google Maps link.
- From the start to Whetstone Ridge. Click HERE for Google maps link.
- From 12 Ridges, exit onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Make a LEFT (southbound). Please drive carefully as runners will be present on the Parkway. Drive for 4.1 miles until you reach the Whetstone Ridge Trail visitor center on your right. Pull and out in carefully, as the aid station will be located in the parking lot.
- From Whetstone Ridge to Fare Thee Well. Click HERE for Google maps link.
- Cross the Parkway and drive onto 813, Whetstone Ridge Rd. You will see a maintenance building on the left. Continue straight to Irish Creek Road, Rt 603. Make a right. Stay on Irish Creek Road for 6.3 miles. Please drive carefully as runners will be present on Irish Creek Road and it is narrow at time. The road goes from pavement, to gravel, back to pavement. The aid station will be located at the intersection of Irish Creek Road and Nettle Creek Road (Rt 605).
- From Fare Thee Well to Big Dark Hollow. Click HERE for Google maps link.
- Continue on Irish Creek Road for 2.9 miles. Please drive slowly as runners will be present on the road. The aid station will be located on your right at the Whetstone Ridge Trail Parking.
- To return to the Whetstone trail aid station, drive back on Irish Creek Road the way you came for 9 miles. Make a left onto Whetstone Ridge Road. Cross the parkway and the aid station will be located in the Whetstone Ridge trail visitor center.
- To return to 12 Ridges Winery, make a right on the Blue Ridge Parkway heading northbound. Stay on the BRPW for 4 miles. Make a right into the 12 Ridges Winery entrance.
