Aid Stations

Not including the start and finish, there are 7 aid stations for the 40 miler, 2 for the 20 miler and 1 for the 10 miler. The longest, unsupported gap is 9.3 miles in the 20 miler. Aid stations are well stocked with water and Gatorade electrolyte drink, ice, single-serve and pre-packaged food including a wide array of sweet and salty items, fruit, candies, gummies, GU vanilla gels, chips and pretzels. Crew locations are accessible by car: on the Blue Ridge Parkway, always park with 4 wheels off the pavement. For the 40 miler, there is one crew access location at Bald Mountain Overlook which is not and aid station but a crew location only.
