Crew Regulations

You may not, at any time, give a ride to your runner, except in an emergency situation.  If the runner enters a moving vehicle, he/she will be disqualified

Due to the dry conditions on the mountain, there is no smoking or open fires allowed

Please be respectful of the runners when on the course: step aside and let the runners go by

Please no crewing outside of the approved crew locations

There will be no vehicles allowed on Copper Mountain.  Plan ahed and carry the minimum indispensable to the crew locations

There will be a shuttle to the crew access locations.  The shuttle can be picked up from the Beeler Parking lot which is right in front of the Copper Center Village entrance, off of Copper Road

The crew access locations are: Burning Stones Plaza (start/finish), A-Road (hiking in or shuttle), I-Road (shuttle), Solitude Station (shuttle)

A-Road is the best and most frequent location to see your runner.  If you are concerned about the shuttle taking too long, just camp out at A-Road and you will have plenty of opportunities to see you runner.  A-Road is only about 1 mile by foot from the start/finish location.  From the Burning Stones Plaza (start/finish), follow the course (orange flags) on the Red Tail trail to the A-Road aid station.

Please do not block the road or the trail

Please pick up any trash and do not leave food unattended

Do not disturb wildlife: enjoy from a distance

The weather on Copper Mountain can change suddenly. Realize that you might be waiting for your runner for hours and that, if you are not moving, your body temperature will drop. Please have the following (for yourself) with you at all times: heavy jacket (warm, waterproof or water resistant), warm pant, gloves and hat

The shuttle might take up to one hour for a complete trip: plan the locations where you want to see your runner accordingly

Have fun and cheer the other runners on!
